Additional Information: Inspired by this park's location on Prospect Hill, the renovation was built on two levels to accentuate the park's view over Somerville and downtown Boston. Corbett-McKenna Park is colorful and historically themed in respect to its location next to Prospect Hill Tower, site of the nation's first flag-raising in 1776. The City allocated funding for this renovation through federal Community Development Block Grants in 2003.
