Additional Information: At only a tenth of an acre, Perkins Park provides a variety of active recreational opportunities for an East Somerville neighborhood with many children and few parks. The functional and vibrant graphic design elements have been cited internationally in landscape architecture publications. Funding for this renovation came from an Urban Self Help Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation Services and federal Community Development Block Grant funds.
